Position: Childcare Leader
Locations: Penge/Beckenham
Job Type: Fixed Term, Part time
18.25 per week per week (2:45pm – 6pm on site, plus 2 hours admin)
or
30.25 hours per week (7:00am - 9:00 am & 2:45pm-6pm plus 4 hours admin)

Key Duties:
- Accountable for all children and employees within the setting, ensuring that agreed child: staff ratios are always met. This includes facilitating support from additional sites, bank or agency staff in the event of employee absences
- Ensure children are provided with a range of pre-planned, age appropriate; adult led and varied activities on a daily basis, which reflect fully children’s diverse and individual needs.
- To be the Designated Safeguarding Officer and ensure suitable child protection training is sourced and delivered to staff. This includes ensuring there is always a suitably trained safeguarding officer on site at all times throughout service delivery.
- Effectively communicating with key people involved in the delivery of the service and the children’s well being, this includes parents, teachers, head teacher, Ofsted, SENCO, LADO etc.
- Accountable for all administration tasks required including record keeping, staff and child records, data logs, ordering and purchasing etc.
- To assist with recruitment of employees for your designated setting, including interviewing, appointing and inducting.
Role requirements:
- To plan, organise and manage the operations of Mytime Active’s childcare settings, ensuring the children are provided with a caring, safe and secure environment in which to learn, develop and improve well-being through a variety of play and physical activities.
- You will be required from 7am-9am and from 2:45pm – 6pm (term time only)
- Level 2 or 3 childcare/play work relevant Qualification
Desirable Qualifications:
- Food Hygiene certificate
- Paediatric First Aid
- Safeguarding Children
